Hypothermia was determined as the leading cause of death for a Port Townsend woman Feb. 4, according to the Jefferson County coroner’s report.
Cassandra Aldrich, 56, was cold to the touch and barely breathing when her significant other, Edwin Delbert, called 911 about 6 p.m. Feb. 4, according to the police report.
Aldrich had been living in a tent encampment behind Les Schwab Tire Center on Sims Way in Port Townsend, said her daughter.
Port Townsend police and East Jefferson Fire Rescue found Aldrich lying in a tent with a faint pulse and moved her to an ambulance for evaluation, according to a news release from the fire department.
“The patient went into cardiac arrest in the ambulance,” the news release stated. “Subsequent CPR efforts were ultimately unsuccessful.”
Cassandra Aldrich gave her life giving voice to people freezing in tents, brought attention to the Port Townsend Community that PEOPLE are sleeping out in the elements, IT GOT NOTICED, Yay. The WINTER Port Townsend woke up. The community banded together and rented a place for a warming shelter, a daytime hangout to be warm. Lasted a couple months then a distant memory, whew the community forgot the woman who froze to death, and we can go back to pretending “they” don’t exist.
If your dog is out in the COLD running around, hanging out, the County, the City, the Human Society will pick it up, feed it, water it, take it to the vet, house the dog. But the people, they lay in the woods dying of the cold.
Sidenote here, the woman who froze to death, her dog did not. Her little bestie was with her when she died. Dogs can survive, can get under and in things, have a thick coat, and can forage for food. Yes indeed, Dogs have great value, dogs are wonderful, beautiful, amazing, however, humans should at least have equal rights to the dogs of Port Townsend.

“ However, it is Clear who the City of Port Townsend is, this last year has shown us full on that PT is NOT a people person, does not care about small businesses, or the rights of individuals and selectively prosecutes people they deem less then them while letting other who do commit crimes, simply walk away.
Anyway what can be done? NOTHING until ALL the people stand up and Fight Back against our tyrannical Jefferson County / PT governing body.. they are Selfish and about tourist money, grants, greed and the big guy, and not about what really matters to the little guys and gals who pay their wages. anyway if interested watch my update.

Michael Allmain FINALLY gets a communication from Officer Wendy Davis of Port Townsend, of which Michael got immediately after it was sent, he has 5 days, well 3 now on a weekend, 3 months into all this, to come up with $2400 or his dog will be adopted out, (GIVE AWAY) or put down. Ya WOW Right. Jefferson County Washington, City of Port Townsend. Story of How the City of Port Townsend Took a Homeless Man's Dog, and seems like some sort of racket to extort the homeless to the benefit of Center Valley Vet seemingly in civil conspiracy with, the Prominent People, the Do Gooders, The City of Port Townsend, and Jefferson County ... and who knows who ELSE.
Moses the Magical Dog, Michael's FAMILY and best friend SIMPLY Disappeared.
Now it is known what happened yet Jefferson County Washington, and prosecuting attorney Chris Ashcraft will not give this man information on his case, simply told there was criminal charges being filed against him.
No word on the dog, no word on what action to take. No visitation. This man's best friend, his family, his asset STOLEN by the City of Port Townsend. No End in Sight, no Course of Action to take, No Solutions. Simply, in my opinion, a discrimination, a prejudice against this man that violates his civil rights and his human rights as well as animal rights.
Picture this, You buy a dog, your money, a puppy, you raise the dog, your asset, your best friend, your family, your time, your life and the City of Port Townsend, Jefferson County Washington STEALS your dog, claiming unproven abuse, holds the dog hostage in some mysterious location and give NO SOLUTION to get it back, give NO Information on what can be done. Why? my guess is he is homeless and they don't care or they don't feel homeless people have rights or will have anyone to speak up for them or their family. (his dog Moses)
I, Reverend Crystal Cox, have personally attested that Michael Allmain has not, did not and does not abuse his dog. And I have spoken to many who saw this guy and this dog around town for years, downtown, in front of Port Townsend Safeway, at the parks, and various other locations.

People seem to think if you are homeless your dog is suffering. Thing is from what I have seen, homeless people spend more time, more training with their dogs for the simple first reason that they have the time to do so, and they have small sleeping quarters.
People that are homeless with dogs have a closer relationship in my opinion and from what I have seen. Every day all the time type of relationship, and sleeping close every night kind of relationship.
I have seen comments that Michael should not have a dog unless he lives in a more "stable" environment. So odd to me as people whose dogs sleep in the garage, or dog house or even another room in the house don't spend every day sleep time with their dog. People who work, or run around for various reasons are not with their dog all the time. HOMELESS PEOPLE ARE ACTUALLY WITH THEIR DOG ALL THE TIME. To me this is more stable, more training, more connected.
Do Homeless People have less rights?
So what if you live in a home or car. You have property rights, you have human rights, you have civil rights. Why is there a Prejudice if you live in a car vs. a house? Things to Think About.
The City of Port Townsend STOLE this man's dog. He bought the dog, raised the Dog and has been victim of serious misunderstanding, injustice, prejudice, and in my opinion civil and human rights violations.

the “taking action” part of the Moses and Michael story
The goal is to first get Moses (Michael’s dog), back with Michael. Then we will go from there on assisting them BOTH as a “Family Unit”. And possible legal action against the city. One step at a time, and that’s getting this family back together.
Today I sent a sworn affidavit to the Port Townsend Police and to the County Attorney. If you have first hand knowledge of Michael Allmain, please consider emailing a sworn statement to the county attorney, to emails below that you feel may be appropriate.
You can write up a statement of Michael’s character, and OR if you have first hand knowledge of how Michael was with his dog, or related character knowledge then please consider filing a sworn affidavit in the case.
I am posting this here and on my Port Townsend News site, as I am having a lot of interest from people all over that want to help Michael. And want to know what action they can take. Who they can call, who they can email to reunite this family.

A homeless person, no money should have one appointed in my PERSONAL opinion, not intended to be legal advice. Will look into it more soon, low or no income individuals may apply to the clerk of the court for Civil Indigent Status, has been experience. But that is for Civil, so I will have to research it more as I always thought if you could not afford an attorney in a Criminal Case you were appointed one but in the "Prominent People" land of Port Townsend what it looks to be is threats, and well "avoid a warrant".

“The city took my service animal from me , the community I used to call home and worked for lived in and respected over 15 years has failed me ,
I will hold everyone involved responsible from the infiltration of activists who would rather spend thousands keeping tabs on me and stressing me out to the point of considering suicide, then to be a caring community and put me to work , to the non licensed for domestic animals vet he should have not been sent to but the owner has wanted him for over a year and put her money to work to bully ,rob , and ruin my life , to the ones who ignored and avoided all contact with me for 2 weeks acting more like thieves then professionals, as well as the few (un mentioned) member's of law enforcement who gained my trust just to strip the only thing I had left right as the holidays were around the corner ,
I had no idea humanity could be so cold , my dog was taken care of never went without food or water and every instance the could bend the truth and deceive the higher ups they took but they arnt getting any consequences for psychotherapeutic invasion tactics forced on me and my service animal, I will be a good boy and jump through the political hoops with there teams running the show but if that fails I am going to exercise my right to protest and go on a hunger strike until my companion is returned or until the inevitable occurs,
I'm tired of being an escape goat for peoples fears and entitlement and without my dog and the way my community attacks me again and again I have no reason to stay around and watch humanity fail , to support me repost this as they will remove it knowing I'm telling truth and in the meantime while I await court I plan to go out of county and get a mental health assessment (Again ) and another IQ test to show I am 100 percent sane and have an IQ of over 180. I also posted this would happen many months ago and my concerns for the people-groups that were following me and plan to put a stop to it either with the truth or with my life I am not the only one who suffers from the hands of uptown thugs and won't rest until justice serves truth”

“I did see that I belive my post was removed as was the post I sent to cvr's website after the accident of moses and my reunion that they took down saying it was to graphic though they had posted bloody pictures of him and those were not , they then infiltrated my life everyday after that intending to use psychotherapy practices to make me look insane and nearly succeeded until recently I went to get our home situated and someone trespassed in the yard he was staying and set him loose , he then went straight to the dog park to play and was apprehended, if my dog wasn't publicized and such an amazing and extremely well mannered disposition none of this would be happening but everyone wants my animal because I raised him well and spent years training him ,
I think his disposition alone reflects the truth in how he was cared for , but again people with money and entitlement judge me from there own delusional thoughts and fears and again we suffer at there hands because politics and wealth persuade many people over love compassion respect and truth , but no more this time I'm standing up for myself and my remaining family member and am going to put a stop to it one way or another its unfortunate we even have to 15 years ago when I moved here it was a much different place since then my entire family besides 3 have passed and the remaining are not with me and the support I get from the community is less then I would receive in a freaking prison, and it really makes life unpleasant every second of every day.
I've never treated another human being wrong even if they deserved I've alway carried myself honesty and with empathy, CVR never once returned a call and wouldn't even give me his bill I had over 500 dollars from a go fund me page that I respectfully returned all the money to the donors without taking a penny , being homeless at the time I think that also speaks volumes about my character, but we look I've in a world that only wants to see drama in everything they do to avoid all there shortcomings rather then admitting the truth”

Homelessness is a matter of priority for ANY community. Homelessness is an EASY FIX. Instead communities, most all government agencies and non-profits make it hard for people to get into housing. They “think” they are creating a way for people to get and stay in housing, however they are missing the basics such as a welcome bathroom, a welcome shower. A place to simply “be”. This are easy fixes and most communities make it a big “study”, a mental health issue and so many more “things” that are not the reason we are homeless, nor the reason we stay homeless. More money to bathrooms and showers and less to the wages and the studies to figure us out. Focus on the FIX. The homeless can’t fix this from the place of homelessness. Those in charge of local real estate development, local law, local non-profits, they are the issue, they are the disconnect. It is a matter of Focus, of Priority.
Block Grants for the PT Paper Mill to poison our water and air, 10 million gallons of water a day they could do many other productive things with, instead the PT paper mill gets it for free along with public monies, why? They say to create jobs. However, instead, the grants, the money could go directly to the people instead of to big corporations owned outside of PT to make big money for them, using your local tax dollars for FREE.
Homelessness is a matter of what a local community prioritizes.

You have had EQUAL Rights Legally by a High Court Precedent since January of 2014.
My First Amendment Court Case was the First of it’s kind to get a High Court decision that Gave ALL Bloggers, Citizen Journalist, and Whistle blowers EQUAL rights to that of the highest paid Journalist in the highest of institutional press. Now Retraction Laws, Shield Laws, and the First Amendment APPLIES to ALL Bloggers, Citizen Journalists and Whistleblowers EQUAL to the highest paid Journalists of the biggest media outlets in the world. All sides fought me, threatened me, belittled me, defamed me, pressured me to quit, harassed me, gang stalked me, investigators followed me, my emails were hacked and watched daily, and I was under constant threat for years and years to hold onto this Legal Precedent for YOU to Have YOUR Voice. In my court case, Obsidian v. Cox there was No Criminal Extortion. This was made up by the Opposition to attempt to Stop me from proceeding to the high court. And to attempt to suppress ALL of your voices as a matter of Law. It was a Set Up by a group of attorneys, judges and big media with varying agendas.
For those who believe there was Extortion in the Crystal Cox Case, ask yourself Why None of these Court Officials, Attorneys, Judges, Cops, FBI Agents, Homeland Security, or any party private or public filed ANY criminal charges in any way so that there could be a True Investigation as to the allegations against me by Big Media. Large Law Firms, Groups of Attorneys and High Court Judges. This was ALL to Deny the constitutional rights of Citizen Journalists, Investigative Bloggers, and Whistleblowers and to attempt to discredit the true to the best of my knowledge reporting I was doing, in that case, on Portland Oregon Judicial and Bankruptcy Court Corruption.
There was no Lies. All I reported was True to the best of my knowledge and remains to be true though I have removed the blogs per a lower court settlement. I had got the Precedent that changed the world. I had made it to my Finish Line, my Goal and from there I let go of the battle to bring down Portland Oregon Bankruptcy Corruption.
I exposed Corruption for decades to the absolute best of my ability and with the whole truth and nothing but the truth to the best of my knowledge and ability. Now it is your turn to TELL YOUR STORY. Many of the Articles out there about my Case, are Distorted, Jaded, Biased, Hate Filled and Flat Out False. There are some aspects to many of the news articles about my case that I do like, so it’s worth reading through to find the golden nuggets. The First Amendment court case, Obsidian vs. Cox is cited around the world in courts large and small. This Legal Precedence has changed the world and gave YOU a platform to ROAR, so Do IT. ROAR. I was Pro Se in the Lower Court. Meaning I represented myself, acting as my own attorney. I did so for one I did not have money for an attorney, and I did so as I knew that an attorney would force me to settle, to bow out and therefore STOP the case moving to the highest court possible and forcing a high court ruling as to what rights bloggers have / had as compared to the rights of the institutional press. Remember that when one goes to the Ninth Circuit, attorney or not, there is no legal case citing or information allowed that was not stated, named, created in the lower court case. So my attorney could not enter new case law, but could only use what I had already used. I chose Eugene Volokh deliberately for this task.
